Of late, the attacks that renewed against the LGBTQ community since the election of the orange clown in this country have increased significantly. And I'm calling a spade a spade when I say, we who call ourselves allies to this community have remained silent. A wound only festers if it's left untreated. Weed only grows if not culled by its roots. Our unambivalent love to this community is the treatment for the heartbreak these homophobic incur. Our unambiguous demur of their vile vitriol is the solace that these aching communities need. We need to act. We need to be better. If we want to call ourselves allies, we need to earn that privilege. More actions. More words. More change.
